AutismExposome Chemical Explorer

The AutismExposome project opened a web interface to explorer the different chemicals analyzed into the project's samples from GC-MS data an LC-HRMS data.

The web application allows to explore the GC-MS measurements from 93 samples and LC-HRMS data from 183 samples.

GC-MS/MS

Currently, 73 of 153 environmental chemicals were quantitatively measured using GC-MS/MS in 173 individuals.

The study of the effect of exogenous chemicals in humans requires to consider different chemical classifications to properly understand the how the chemicals are able to enter the human body. In AutismExposome we classified the 73 measured exogenous chemicals in: 1) chemical structure (T3DB chemical supper class), 2) chemical source (use/origin), and 3) the typical exposures route for humans.

Sankey plot of chemical classification

The Sankey plot shows a complex web of links across the classifications that arose when we matched the chemical class with their source (use/origin) and typical human exposures routes.
